THE NEED
Corporate and community involvement is essential for our success in positively impacting the lives of youth across a variety of communities. The YIIP program continues to welcome volunteers and partners to advocate with us to “Teach youth how to win in life, against all odds”, and empower youth to become social and civic change agents in their communities.
Within the framework, we partner with industry experts to deliver world-class “living-lab” experiences such as Rocketry Design, Robotics, Gaming Development, Mathematical Algorithm Design, Scientific Experiments, Forensic Investigations, and more. Through partnerships, our program has been very successful in servicing identified communities under-represented in the field of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM).

Joy of Giving: Food Harvest
By providing fresh and perishable nutritional foods daily to the most vulnerable populations, JOG Healthy Families and Healthy Communities strives to reach the most vulnerable populations. Each week, the program provides fresh foods collected from approved vendors to youth, seniors, and shelters. Partners include Whole Foods in the Galleria, Aunt Annie's Pretzels, Season's 52, Chick-Fil-A, Chipotle, Snap Pea, and Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen.
THE NEED
With direct investments, WYF is able to provide the program tools needed to manage this vital initiative for the communities and families we serve. In addition to eliminating hunger, this holistic program is teaching students how to plant seeds for their futures and adopt a senior through a sustainable, faith-based environment. The project empowers youth and the community to volunteer, work collaboratively, learn about disease prevention, care for those most vulnerable, and manage lifestyle changes. The objective of this initiative is to develop the next generation of healthy families and to positively impact hunger. This is accomplished with the emphasis on nutrition education and utilizing volunteerism, teaching, and technology implementation. These three strategies are intended to change behavior by gaining community support, increasing knowledge, strengthening relationships, and implementing technology. This project helps the youth generation to thrive and flourish within their community, while we stay focused on our mission, “Teach All Youth How to Win In Life Against All Odds”!

Joy of Giving: Lifecare
The JOG Life Care program was designed to provide direct essential resources to families in need. The program was launched during COVID-19 when over $1 million of donated PPE items were distributed in 2020 till present to any family in need. In addition, we’ve worked with the HAUL, NAACP, Anita Daniels Foundation, shelters, and others in distributing household items, cleaning tools, and non-perishable foods every month.
THE NEED
Families today face unique and everyday challenges, and an essential part of their survival is to have and maintain essential basic needs. Shelter, food, security, clothing, communications, education, access to technology, health & wellness, and resources are critical for families. For this reason, WYF seeks to advocate for those essentials needs and welcome partners in “Joy of Giving”.
